The Waterpik® Water Flosser

New Name

Water Pik, Inc. recently re-branded the company’s flagship oral care product – the Waterpik® Water Flosser - as the Waterpik® Water Flosser. The company introduced the Water Flosser in an effort to help patients understand the true purpose of a Waterpik®, and to support professional recommendations to patients who don’t like to floss.

New Study

In addition, a new clinical study on the Waterpik Water Flosser has just been presented at the International Association of Dental Researchers Meeting in Barcelona, Spain. This study, conducted at the University of Amsterdam, confirms that the Waterpik Water Flosser is an easy, effective alternative to traditional string floss. In as little as 14 days, the Water Flosser was twice as effective as string floss at reducing gingival bleeding. These results are similar to those found in a US study at the University of Nebraska where the Water Flosser was up to 93% more effective at reducing gingival bleeding and 52% more effective at reducing inflammation.
